WHO ARE WE??
The Australian Shepherd Club of Mid-America (ASCofMA)
was formed in1973 as an affiliate club for the
Australian Shepherd Club of America (ASCA).
The primary objectives of the Club are to
protect and advance the Australian Shepherd
breed. In service of this goal, the Club
will promote and publicize the breed, of the
Australian Shepherd as purebred, and not the
individual. The Club shall strive to promote,
educate and assist all owners of the breed to
improve their knowledge of the breed and its
history. The Club will work to preserve the
breed as working stock dogs and promote
selective breeding for working, protectiveness,
conformation, and color.
The Club will advance the interest of the
Australian Shepherd breed and encourage ethical
breeding practices and sportsmanlike competition
at all dog shows and trials. In doing so, the
Club will conduct Conformation Shows, Obedience
Trials, Stockdog Trials, informative programs
and other events in conformity with ASCA rules
and regulations.
The Club encourages all breeders to accept the ASCA breed standard as the only standard of excellence by
which the breed shall be judged.
